It is part of the daily ritual of the Ashaninka (Brazilian indigenous tribe) to take a shower and do a face paint in the morning. One of the natural pigments they use is a fruit called urucum, which paints their skin with colours that range from blood red to orange, depending on the maturity of the fruit.
The paintings they make are personal and only those who have made them know their meaning. Urucum can be mixed with pussanga, to make an irresistible perfume.
Looking for inspiration in this ancient culture, today we can use urucum to awaken our beauty also in more subtle ways, using it, for example, as lipstick, blush or eye shadow.
